Created on cotton canvas using different techniques such as hand cut stencils, hand painting, applique and simple stitching.
When I moved to the Angus region in the N.E of Scotland I was struck by the many fields covered in poly tunnels, where soft fruits are grown and the contrast between these and the other fields left “uncovered”.
I have made a frame around it using pine bars painted with chalk paint to give it an unfuzzy, rustic look that compliments the image.
