Description
A 1 hour long session to learn about the Japanese technique of using leaves and flowers for printing. This is a very simple yet effective way to create botanical prints. I will provide fabric to print on as well as having lots of foliage, etc to use. Then, using some of your printed fabric, I will show you how to make a small circular hanging window decoration.
This workshop will take place outdoors, under a marquee so please dress accordingly (hopefully we’ll have a beautiful May day).
We’ll be using hammers or stones to bash the leaves so it can get a little noisy (just in case noise is an issue for you).
This workshop is part of a series by various members of Angus Creatives to mark this year’s Festival of Makers, May 13-21. My own studio will be open to visitors on the weekend 20th & 21st May.
