Description
Saturday 16th September 10.30- 4.30 at hArt & Sewl, 94 High street , ARBROATH DD11 1HL (next to Courthouse building).
You will create your own design, cut your own stencil and print onto a piece of fabric using your choice of colour palette. I will then show you how to assemble a 20 cm diameter drum lampshade. Designs can be entirely up to you – abstract geometrics, florals or cutesy animals – just let your imagination run free!
I’ll provide guidance at every step and have lots of inspiration to hand, advice on techniques and colours after which you can start on your masterpiece!
If you would like to make a shade using fabric you already have, you can book into the 2nd part of this class and join us later at 3 pm. Bring a piece of fabric measuring at least 24 cm x 70 cm.
Refreshments will be provided but please bring a sandwich with you; there are nearby coffee shops where you can purchase food too.
LEVEL
Beginners/Intermediate. We will be using craft knives to cut out stencils, so if you have any issues with dexterity, please contact me to discuss. Otherwise, this class is suitable for all abilities.

10.30 -12.30 intro & start of workshop – cutting stencils, etc, 12.30 – 1pm lunch, 1pm – 3pm stencilling, 3pm – 4.30 assembling lampshade

WHAT YOU WILL TAKE HOME
