Join me in this fun workshop and learn simple but effective techniques to create your own printed fabric square.
During the workshop, you’ll develop your own design to draw onto stencil paper, cut it out, mix your own colour palette, and print a piece of cloth.
My workshops are for a small number of people, 4 max, so it’s a relaxed atmosphere and I can give each participant plenty of attention and help
WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE PRICE
A 45 cm x 45 cm (18″ x 18″) piece of calico fabric (plus some scrap fabric to test out your ideas)
Fabric paint, stencil paper and other materials
WHAT YOU’LL GET
A unique piece of fabric designed and printed by you to take home and transform into whatever takes your fancy – a cushion, tote bag or even a piece of wall art.
Should you want to do my LAMPSHADE MAKING class after this one, you could print a fabric panel for this purpose; you will receive a 15% discount off your ticket price – please contact me for details.
DO I NEED TO BRING ANYTHING WITH ME?
An apron would be good (don’t wear your best clothes!). Also, some ideas for patterns, from magazine cuttings, photos, etc so you have a starting point; the best patterns for stencils are fairly simple, bold shapes as intricate designs are difficult to cut with a knive.
Beginners/Intermediate; we will be using craft knives to cut the stencils so if you have dexterity issues, please contact me to discuss.
16+ – this is not a children’s workshop
A full refund will be given up to 10 days prior to workshop. Otherwise, we can arrange alternative days or times.
